Mortgage Comparison

The first approval may be perfectly good. But before you commit, make sure you understand what you are actually paying for and whether another structure fits better.

A lower rate is not automatically a better deal.
Points, lender credits, mortgage insurance, loan term and expected time in the home can all change the economics. Compare the entire structure rather than one number in isolation.
Simple rule: if two lenders are quoting different outcomes, line up the same loan amount, term, lock period and assumptions before deciding who is cheaper.
